Portraits of Pop Culture art exhibit

Show runs through March 30. Pop culture is so pervasive in our society that it distracts public's focus from the important issues that shape our world. The cartoonish celebrities that drive pop culture run from the profound to the profane. Artists have used famous people as their subjects from before da Vinci to after Warhol. What will our portraits of pop icons reveal? Do they fascinate or irritate? Curators Zade Ramsey and Gordon Frank highlight artists' most compelling cartoons, lampoons and caricatures of celebrities, politicians, and other pop figures. Details at: DelRayArtisans.org

Featuring the Heads Up Silent Auction: Del Ray Artisans members used their artistry and imagination to transform dress form heads from mannequins to works of art. These wild and crazy sculptures will be for sale by silent auction during Portraits of Pop Culture. Proceeds go to support Del Ray Artisans exhibits. Silent Auction ends March 29.
