Open Life Drawing: Wednesday, November 17

These are open studio figure drawing sessions, not classes. Contact DRA.LifeDrawing@gmail.com or visit calendar.thedelrayartisans.org/day.php?date=20101117 if you have questions.

Gestures: (11 am - 1 pm) This two-hour session will be comprised primarily of a series of dynamic 1-5 minute poses. $6 for members and $8 for non-members.

Poses: (2 pm - 5 pm) This three-hour afternoon session will start with some short warm-up poses and progressively move into longer poses (10-45 minutes). $8 for members and $10 for non-members.


Holiday Mosaic Workshop: November 30 - December 1

Looking for a perfect gift or decoration for the holidays? Create an original mixed media piece on Tuesday, Nov 30 and Wednesday, Dec 1 from 7-9 pm each night at this 2-day workshop. $35 DRA members / $45 non-members. Virginia artists...did you know that state budget support for arts grant funding could face continued challenges during Virginia's coming legislative session? Virginians for the Arts is working to expand its advocacy alerts, calls to action, and news about arts funding in Virginia. We need your help to greatly expand our list serve, and extend our grassroots reach by including email addresses for arts organizations' subscribers, board members, and others with a vested interest in strengthening arts grant funding. Calvary Presbyterian Church Holiday Market - VA

Calvary Presbyterian Church (just off Route 1 near Huntington Metro) will be holding a Holiday Market on Saturday, December 4 from 9-3pm (set-up starts at 7). A 6' table or outside tent site will be available for $15 +10% of sales, and the money will support church and community programs. Curating for a Cause - DC

Deadline: November 22, 2010. Curating for a Cause invites artists to submit work (not a donation) for an exhibition and auction on December 3rd at the L2 in Georgetown. International call open to all work in a variety of media including ceramics, glass, painting, photography, printmaking, video and sculpture. Coup d'Espace - DC

Through Coup d'Espace, WPA invites member artists and curators to transform the WPA's office headquarters into a dynamic space for thought provoking, art-minded events. FCA 2011 Call for Artists: Passport to the World - VA

Entry Form Deadline: December 17, 2010 at 5pm. Falls Church Arts (FCA) All-Member Show kickoff event for a "Passport to the World" includes music, dance, storytelling, and art festival at ArtSpace. The show will hang for the duration of the festival. Bring your best work, on subject matter of your choosing, but especially works that reflect your travels (here or abroad, imagined or real), or the influences other cultures have had on your work.
