The Del Ray Artisans’ ABSTRACT THIS! exhibit, juried by Stuart Greenwell, will showcase the evocative genre of contemporary abstract art June 9-July 16, 2006.

Juror Stuart Greenwell, who will be on hand at Friday’s opening, has selected 4 exhibit award recipients. Mr. Greenwell is the former founder and editor of Articulate magazine, as well as a graphic artist, arts advocate and contemporary, abstract painter. He likes to challenge himself and the arts community with progressive events, has curated several exhibits including the 72 HOUR ART SHOW at DC's M.O.C.A (Museum of Contemporary Art) and orchestrates poetry SLAMS in the DC/Baltimore area.

Musician and composer yoko k. is known for her intimate juxtaposition of delicate, acoustic, feminine sounds with strong, digital, masculine beats evoking a warm organic feel with a touch of nostalgia. She wrote and performed the soundtrack music for the new visual CD released by best-selling local author Frank Warren's PostSecrets project. yoko k.'s first album “012906” will be released mid-June 2006 from Asahra Music, llc. Exhibit curator Jamee Telford is a recent (May 2006) recipient of a Master in Museum Education degree from GW University, and hails from Chandler, Oklahoma.
