Del Ray Artisans receives grants from the City of Alexandria, Alexandria Commission for the Arts, Virginia Commission for the Arts, and National Endowment for the Arts. Yet, with a broad mission and active membership, DRA still depends on the support of its members and patrons to keep providing quality shows, events and outreach. Our most urgent need: your donation to DRA will be used to replenish the funds spent on the new lighting system in the gallery, unless you select the Art Camp Fund or Ted Eichers Memorial Art Scholarship Fund below. Art Camp

For one week each July, Del Ray Artisans hosts Art Camp for about 25 children ages 8-12. Participants receive instruction and work on art projects, take field trips to museums and galleries, and meet with older artists. They are provided with healthy lunches and snacks, and time is allotted every day for outdoor activities. The fees for some of these students are paid through donations so that children from less affluent families may gain exposure to the arts. Sponsor a child today!

Ted Eichers Memorial Art Scholarship Fund

Since 2000, Del Ray Artisans has awarded the Ted Eichers Memorial Art Scholarship to a T.C. Williams High School graduate who is attending college to continue his or her art education. Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee of teachers based on the criteria set by DRA. Learn More
