DEL RAY ARTISANS’ HOLIDAY MARKET: FINE ART, FINE CRAFTS, FOOD AND GIFTS December 1-3, 2006
The Del Ray Artisans’ Fine Art & Fine Crafts Holiday Market will be the place to go this holiday season to find everything you need to celebrate in style. The Holiday Market will feature exquisite gifts created by more than 20 artist members, festive baked goods to indulge your sweet-tooth, and one-of-kind artist-designed holiday ornaments!
The festivities begin Friday evening, December 1st, with a preview reception featuring seasonal treats from 7–10 PM.
Saturday, December 2nd, the gallery will open at 10 AM and will extend its evening hours through the Potomac West Christmas Tree lighting event (6:00 PM) which takes place next door to the gallery.
Sunday, December 3rd, hours will be Noon–5 PM. The Holiday Market will be the place to pick up unique, one-of-a-kind gifts for the holiday season!
In conjunction with the Market, Food for Thought, a holiday bake sale, will tempt you with festive and delicious delights! For the second year, proceeds from Food for Thought will go to support the Del Ray Artisans’ Katrina Relief efforts for artists living in Hancock county, Mississippi. Another exciting component of the Market will be handmade Holiday Ornaments and Greeting Cards created by DRA member artists.
The Holiday Market will run through Sunday, December 3, 2006, at the Del Ray Artisans Gallery, Nicholas A. Colasanto Center, 2704 Mt. Vernon Avenue in Alexandria. Founded in 1992, the mission of the Del Ray Artisans is to foster a community of artists and art supporters who are a viable source for the development, teaching and furtherance of appreciation of the arts through exhibits and events for members and the diverse populations in the City of Alexandria, the communities of Northern Virginia, and the greater Washington metropolitan area Normal public hours are Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm and Sundays, noon to 4 pm.
