Breaking the Glass Ceiling

Call for Entry: Breaking the Glass Ceiling – The Sky's the Limit

Digital entries due: Sunday, March 19 by midnight. This exhibit reflects on the metaphor "breaking the glass ceiling", pushing through a tough, not quite invisible barrier that keeps many from reaching their full potential—their dreams beyond a certain level in a hierarchy or in society. Breaking glass, breaking barriers, reaching beyond traditional boundaries, stretching beyond one's own and society's current limits. Open to all area artists. Exhibit runs March 31-April 30, 2017 at Del Ray Artisans gallery. Call for Entry at DelRayArtisans.org/cfe

Love Your Pet Day

Call for Artists: “Love Your Pet Day” Live Painting

Submission Due: Thursday, March 23. "Love Your Pet Day" is on April 23, 2017. We are looking for 2-3 Del Ray Artisans member artists to set up their own space, to demonstrate/sell their work as part of this day of creative fun, being held on Colvin Street in Alexandria, 22314 and sponsored by VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital. Animal-related work is appreciated, but not necessary. There is no booth fee or submission charge for members because this is in conjunction with the Gallery Without Walls program. Please email Pamela Underhill with questions and submissions at Underhill.Pamela@gmail.com

Through the Looking Glass

Through the Looking Glass Art Exhibit

Runs through March 26. Through The Looking Glass is an ode to the childhood cult classic with a personal twist—an exclusive smattering of unique, awe inspiring artwork that knocks the socks off mundane, commonplace images. Area artists tell personal stories of tumbling down the rabbit hole and the journey traveled. Details at DelRayArtisans.org
